All K53 Learner's License Tests Catered for, from motorcycle to truck. Classes are one-on-one or in a group, depending on what is required.

Duration and Candidate ability requirements

  • Time spent, depends on candidate knowledge and reading skill, this is done in one session 
  • The Candidate must have some knowledge of traffic road rules, signs and controls.
  • All levels of ability is catered including oral preparation
 
Course objectives
  • At the end of this session the Candidate should: 
  • Know and understand the questions
  • Understand the way the test questions are asked
  • Be comfortable in giving the correct answers
  • Be able to complete the written or verbal examination with success

Course material and presentation
  • Training is provided in safe environment 

For Candidates preferring the oral exam:
  • Fee: R 125.00 an hour
  • For a minimum of 2 hours 
  • Oral exam preparation only

Beginner's Basic

The Candidate does not need to have his own motorcycle, but must be able to ride a bicycle. Duration and Candidate ability requirements. Saturdays Only.

Duration and Candidate ability requirements

  • Training done in one session
  • All levels of ability is catered for
 
Course objectives
  • At the end of this session the Candidate should
  • Know and understand the motorcycles’ controls, and the safe use thereof
  • Know and understand the safety aspects surrounding motorcycles, including
    protective gear.
  • Be comfortable on the motorcycle
  • Be able to pull away and stop safely
  • Be able to change gears smoothly
  • Know what to look for in a motorcycle suited for his needs
  • Know what to look for when buying protective gear
  • Know what to look for when buying a helmet
 
Course material and presentation
  • Training is provided on a flat, safe, enclosed, private concrete slab
  • The Candidate rides on an automatic scooter, to get acquainted with the feel of the motorcycle and its controls until he is ready to ride a manual motorcycle.
  • The Candidate is taught how to pull away, and stop, and which brake to use
  • The Candidate is taught how to change gears
  • The Candidate is taught how to protect himself while riding in traffic.
  • The Candidate is taught how to use the traffic around him to protect himself.
  • The Candidate is taught defensive riding. 
  • The Candidate is advised on the right motorcycle and clothing for his needs to make informed decision when buying such.

K53 Rider License

Preparation and Training to pass the K53 Rider's Test. The Candidate does not need to have his own motorcycle, but must be able to ride. Terms and Conditions Apply.

K53 Rider License

The Candidate does not need to have his own motorcycle, but, must be able to ride.
(Tuesday and Thursdays starting at 16:00 pm; Saturdays starting at 14:00 pm, Class arrival at 30 minutes before class begins)

Fee: R700.00 (excluding motorcycle)
Or: R900.00 (including motorcycle)

Duration and Candidate ability requirements

  • Single Session
  • Candidates must be able to ride a bicycle, and be in possession of a valid learner driver’s license
 
Course objectives
  • At the end of this session, the Candidate should be able to pass the K53 Drivers exam
 
Course material and presentation
  • Training is provided on a flat, safe, enclosed, private concrete slab 
  • A complete “dress-rehearsal” of the riding exam is done
  • The Candidate practices on a course laid out exactly similar to the course they will encounter during the practical part of the exam.
  • The Instructor ensures that the Candidate’s motorcycle is taken to the testing station for the practical exam

Refresh Your Skill Course

This course is for people who haven't ridden a motorcycle for a while and want to refresh their skills. Saturdays Only.

Refresh Your Skill Course

This course is for people who haven’t ridden a motorcycle in a while, to refresh their skills. 

(Saturdays only, starting at 8:45am)

Duration and Candidate ability requirements

  • Training done in one session
  • Must have ridden a motorcycle before
  • Skills need refreshing
 
Course objectives
  • Safe riding depends on as much on skills of awareness and judgment as it does on physical skill of manoeuvring the machine. These skills are perishable and need to be renewed from time to time. 
 
Course material and presentation
  • Training is provided on a flat, safe, enclosed, private concrete slab
  • The Candidate come and attend a group session where we discuss all aspects of safe riding to refresh his / her mental skills.

After the discussion we move on to the motorcycle where he / she will become acquainted with a motorcycle again, to sharpen up his / her physical skills.

Confidence Classes


This course is for people who have done the Beginner's Basic Course and would like to increase their Rider Confidence.

R 300 / Hour

Confidence Classes

This course is for people that have done the Beginner’s Basic Course and still do not have enough confidence to ride their own bike or still do not own their own. 

(Tuesday and Thursday 16:00 – 18:00; Saturdays 8:00 – 9:00)
 
Fee: R300 per hour per Candidate
 
Duration and Candidate ability requirements

  • Hourly classes are done 
  • After the completion of the beginners basic course 
 
Course objectives
  • At the end of this session the Candidate should feel comfortable riding his or her own motorcycle. 
 
Course material and presentation
  • Training is provided on a flat, safe, enclosed, private concrete slab
  • The Candidate comes to ride in hourly slots to build his or her confidence to the point where they feel comfortable riding his or her own bike.

Street Smart Classes


This is for Riders who want to improve their perceptive skills in traffic. Must have own motorcycle. Minimum 2 Hours.

Street Smart Classes

(Per Appointment)

This course is for people that have done the Beginner’s Basic Course and can ride their bike with confidence, and want to improve their perceptive abilities when riding in traffic. Poor perception puts a rider at a disadvantage. Motorcycling requires more than coordination and balance. This program will acquaint participants with their perceptive processes; help them understand how the brain and eyes work together to manage risk, and to develop useful perception techniques. 

Fees: R350 an hour
 
Duration and Candidate ability requirements

  • Hourly classes are done 
  • After the completion of the beginners basic course and the rider can ride a bike with confidence.
 
Course objectives
  • At the end of this session the Candidate should feel comfortable riding his or her own motorcycle in traffic and know how to protect him / herself while riding in the traffic.
 
Course material and presentation
  • Hourly classes 
  • Rider must ride their own motorcycle
  • Your instructor will ride his / her own bike during the training

Advanced Road Riding Skills

At the end of this session the Candidate should be comfortable using his motorcycle safely, in varying road conditions, and to its full potential. Minimum 2 Hours.

Fees:  R 350.00/hour (minimum of 2 hours)
 
Duration and Candidate ability requirements

  • Length of training depends on rider
  • Candidates must be in possession of a valid driver’s license, and be conversant with all aspects of motorcycling
 
Course Objectives
 
At the end of this session the Candidate should be comfortable with using his motorcycle safely, in varying road conditions, and to its full potential
 
Course material and presentation
  • Training is given with the Candidate’s own motorcycle, and is scheduled in mountainous terrain
  • The Instructor will explain various techniques, and tips, followed by a practical session where the following is reinforced:
  • How to use the brakes effectively
  • Handling of the motorcycle under extreme conditions, and its capabilities
  • What to look out for, and what to be aware of
  • How to read and interpret the road
  • Reading of corners, left-hand and right-hand
  • Trouble shooting in changing conditions
  • Sand, diesel, oil, etc and how best to handle them
  • The riding line
  • Speed into and out of corners
  • Riding position and posture
  • Some finer techniques
